  1. Maybe you can help?
I have a program that worked with Excel ’97 on a PC and a Mac by accessing (via pointers) an array in an Excel spreadsheet and returned calculated results to it. Now I need to bring it up to date.

I know how to read and write to cells in VBA, but don’t know the modern conventions for passing data out to the DYLIB. I’ll bet that the ‘pointers’ link to the spreadsheet in RAM is no longer the practice, due to security risks, but how do I send an array to my DYLIB routine?

What I need is the two sides of the ‘handshake’: a VBA call to a simple DYLIB that sends an array and an example of code that accepts it and returns an array as a result. Assume a 4×16 input and return the sum of each of the rows as a 4×1 result for an example.

    1. I’m afraid this one is a little bit beyond my expertise right now. I’m new to the Mac environment and have not developed dylib (at least yet).

      Dear readers,
This is something you are all invited to jump in and help our friend…
